
And, as advertised, they worked very well on packed snow. It felt very nice to run when the trail looked like this:

Unfortunately, 3 of the 5 miles had new snow drifts (courtesy of the 100 mph gusts of wind the night before) and running in drifts is not easy, no matter what fancy foot gear you have. I plugged along went for a hour, though I posted my slowest run pace EVER, 12:07 minute miles. And you know what, it was still worth it to be outside in the beautiful sunshine.
This morning I did the 6:30 am master's class and it felt great to knock off over 2 miles of swimming before 8:00 am. Now I have all day to prepare for the first night of Hannukah.

Remember we have lots of snow shoes at Breck....you can run with them too!
