Well, it's 5 days later and my head finally stopped hurting so I can blog about the zoo. First, we had to run to the grocery store to get lunch foods. The kids also ended up with donuts but none actually ate a whole one. Then we carpooled with Rachel and Lilianna and Ariel slept in the car on the way there. When we got to the zoo it was crazy busy. Busy parking, long lines and LOTS of people. Rachel has a zoo membership so we all got in free.
Adam wanted to see the penguins and Alex wanted to see the baboons so we did that side of the zoo.
About 10 minutes after we got there, Adam was starving so we ate lunch.
I styled Ariel's hair just like mine - low pony tails and a baseball cap. We were pretty cute though Ariel kept having fits about having to wear a hat.
We finally made it to the primates and by the last exhibit I was DONE so we walked back. Ariel did a lot of walking but Alex gave me grief when I asked him to give up his stroller seat for him. Why, when I was 6 I was climbing MOUNTAINS. Wuss.
We left the zoo at about 1:30 and Ariel did not fall asleep in the car or on the way home. I did however get a frappachino at Ellen's new drive thru Starbucks which was by far the highlight of my day.
Becky picked Ariel up around 3:30 (I think?) and then I scrambled to pack and get ready for our ski trip.
