Adam needs glasses

Last week Adam came home from school with a note saying he had failed the school eye exam. I was very surprised that anything was wrong, he's never given any indication that he doesn't see well.

Apparently his left eye is 3-4 times more farsighted than his right. The eye doctor was concerned that while his brain is still registering input from the left, it might soon give up on the blurry data. And then he'd have a lazy eye like his mama.

So he's going to have glasses, which will hopefully send a clear signal to his brain and his brain will like that and keep using it. He'll have a 3 month check up to make sure things are working and if they are getting worse, he may have to go the patch route - like his momma.



Oh, and Adam's school had a reward jammie and stuffie day, I don't normal endorse jammies outside of the home.
