December 10, 2007

Well, our day (and most days) was a lot like this.

How fun is that site? It even works in marital disputes! Jeremy and I had a very small tiff this weekend and I got so much joy out of making Jeremy elf by himself. So much more productive than fighting!

7:10 Drop off. I was already showered and dressed in my new lounge wear. Becky read my mind for Hanukkah gifts and got me an outfit that fits all my criteria - day AND night wear.

For breakfast, Ariel had yogurt and oatmeal.

8:30 Dad dropped off Hannah while he had a doctor's appointment. Hannah and Ariel were wearing their matching towel (owl) outfits.

Hannah was wearing the Hanukkah present I made her, a Hannah bracelet:

Lounge pants made me especially lazy and we sat on the couch together and listened to Alex's CD.

11:20 Dad got back and brought me a venti latte. I've NEVER had a venti, it was very frightening. And big. And filled me up enough I didn't even remember to eat lunch.

11:25 Took Alex to school and got Adam.

11:45 Got home. Dad and Hannah were still there. Hannah was sick today. That meant that she was still quiet except for when she sneezed.

Actually, she did cry once when Alex dropped his light saber on his toe and started crying and it started (and probably frightened) her.

12:00 After very little mac & cheese, Ariel went down for a nap.

2:30 Ariel woke up in time to pick up Alex. There was a lot of snow for her to tromp through. At pick up Alex's teacher stopped me to say that Alex banged his head on the wall right before leaving the class room and somehow Adam thought we had left and left too. I started to get worried when I couldn't find him but a parent had found him in the field and brought him back. Scary for both of us!

3:00 Got home and had some hot chocolate. Ariel requested to watch the boy's new Ice Age: Meltdown and soon all the kids were in front of the TV (Alex's review, "Mommy, that was WAY too scary.")

How's this for a gift for Alex's teacher? I'll put a starbucks card on the back. Pretty cleaver, huh? I think I'm not doing anything for Adam's teachers. He has two substitutes while his teacher is on maternity leave and a few helpers that I'm not sure I even know all their names. It seems too complicated.

4:30 Pick up.
