December 11, 2007

7:30 Late drop off due to more layers of crappy white stuff (aka snow)

Breakfast - half a piece of toast dipped in maple syrup.

8:40 Left for the mall.

9:00 Stroller class was small but good. Today was the first day that the mall opened at 9:00 as well but because of the weather it wasn't crowded.

10:30 After class we played on the dinosaurs for 10 minutes, per Alex's request. Alex understood the time constraints but apparently Ariel did not. I had to carry her kicking and screaming from the play area to the stroller. As we walked down the mall she was getting so stiff that she was standing up and then she realized that she could wriggle out of the seatbelt. Once out, she hopped out of the stroller and went running back down the mall without a backwards glance. I had to carry her to the elevator at which point she realized she couldn't get back by herself and calmed down. She was pretty riled up and hard to understand, but I believe she was screaming, "MINE!!!!"

11:00 Lunch - pizza and Strawberry Orange Julius.

11:30 Picked up Adam.

11:45 Dropped off Alex.

11:50 Got home, Ariel was asleep and transfered to bed.

Here's the view out my front door:

And my not very well plowed street:

2:00 Ariel woke up. She joined Adam in watching Happy Feet for a bit:

Then she decided she was hungry and had some yogurt and oatmeal.

2:30 Went to go get Alex. Ariel insisted on walking the whole way even though the snow was up to her waist in spots.

3:05 Finally got home. I made everyone some hot chocolate, which Ariel heartily approved of.

3:30 The kids watched the rest of Happy Feet.

I cleaned my carpet in the area that dad spilled his venti peppermint mocha in yesterday. He told me he cleaned it really well and you could hardly tell but when I told Jeremy about it Jeremy said he wondered what had happened, so if Jeremy noticed it was bad. But dad, luckily for you it mostly came up with my rug cleaner. Remember, blot, NEVER rub!!!

4:35 Pick up.

And what was the verdict on "Happy Feet" - I bought it and still have not seen it.

I love Ariels sweater. You didn't knit that one did you?

Crissy - the sweater was an Old Navy clearance item a year or so ago. Wendy DID say she wished she had made it :(
