September 8, 2008

Our family survived yet another busy weekend. We all had a blast at Sarah's wedding reception. In keeping up with the western theme, there was a horse drawn carriage. I think the boys rode it at least 4 times:

I caught up again with Baby Gus:

And I don't even know who's baby this is, but she was 6 weeks old and so yummy!

Alex's duty at the wedding was handing out lavender satchels to be thrown at the couple. When he spotted the lavender in the garden, he resumed his duties and handed out sprigs to guests:

Yes, Adam is always that crazy:

Adam and Grammie:

Sarah and Devon really didn't want a traditional first dance. Well, ha ha on them:

Alex shook it up on the dance floor until Grandpa picked up the boys at 8:30:

Not a bad picture, even with my gay pride bandana:

Grandma took Alex to his first day of Sunday school and in the evening we went back to Denver for dinner with the Texas relatives. No wonder we are tired!

7:15 Drop off. Ariel did eat breakfast, one carton of yogurt.

8:45 Took Ariel to school.

9:05 After dropping Ariel off, I went to Eagle trailhead to do Sunday's long base run (yeah, for some reason I didn't feel like running on Sunday. We were up until MIDNIGHT). I used to run Eagle all the time when we lived in Gunbarrel, but I don't think I've been there in 8 years, it's hard for me to justify driving through Boulder to run. It was very nice and the cool drizzle was actually refreshing. I'd much rather run when it's 40 degrees than 90.

10:30 After my standard slow 5.2 miles in a hour, I went home, checked my email and took a shower.

11:30 Picked up Adam. We stopped by the grocery store to buy Adam some mac & cheese for lunch.

1:10 Picked up Ariel late. Adam decided he needed to poop at 12:45, then we hit construction on 30th. I think the preschool was cool with it. Oops.

Ariel had two accidents at school today. The teacher said it was weird, the second one was 15 minutes after the first, and after the first they put her on the potty to make sure she was done. I think we are all getting a bit sick of this. At least it's new to Ariel's teachers. Otherwise, they said she had a great day. I saw playdoh and a table full of dried beans and cups and it did clear up enough that they played outside.

1:30 Ariel fell asleep in the car, transferred to bed.

4:00 Ariel woke up. Played with the train set.

4:25 Pick up.
