Sorry, I'll post this quick and run. Today, Crissy and I drove the Peak to Peak Highway looking for color.

Alrighty, we are back from the birthday party. Josh turned 4 today! He had a space-themed party complete with a happy birthday call from a real live astronaut. Having an aerospace engineer for a dad has it's perks :)

7:15 Drop off. Ariel waited patiently in her chair while I finished making pancakes.

7:25 Yogurt and apples. She did better than she did Friday with the yogurt, but she still wasn't very excited. She ate about 1/2 a container.

8:00 Nap.

9:00 Wake up. Short nap, but that was ok because we needed to get ready for our Fabulous Adventure™.

9:15 I got Ariel started on a bottle while I waited for Crissy to show up. Ariel finished her bottle in the car.

9:30 Our adventure - driving on the Peak to Peak highway to see the changing aspen. We found some nice spots, and we had a great Colorado blue sky today. If you look at the flickr pictures, you'll see that we got the best shots of Mt. Meeker. Longs Peak was too shadowy to do much with. Crissy and I have a difficult homework assignment - take a great picture worthy of our teacher's hall of fame. It's so open ended that we are both stumped. I don't think any of my pictures are worthy, but they are nice additions to my library.

12:00 We got to Estes Park and went to Taco Bell. Ariel had fallen asleep in the car and stayed asleep for a while in the restaurant. When she woke, I gave her the mixed veggies. She drank quite a bit of water too.

1:00 After a quick stop at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for some, well, uh, chocolate, we were on our way. Ariel had another bottle in the car. Adam fell asleep.

2:00 We had to go directly to Crissy's because she was expecting a plumber at 2. She had raw sewage backing up into her house (lovely huh?). Adam was still sleeping and I stayed in the car with him. Crissy took Ariel and Adam inside and I fell asleep with Adam.

2:45 We all went to pick Marcus up from school. Ariel had another car bottle (I'm started to feel guilty, but she really was pretty happy today).

3:00 Got back to our house. Crissy picked her car up and went home. We had a quick bathroom break, then we drove to Michael's to get Josh a birthday present.

4:15 Finally get home. I changed a very small poopy diaper.

4:30 Pick up. And Becky changed the real poopy diaper.
