8:45 Nap
While Ariel was napping, I caught this picture of the boys on the futon, who were there on their own free will (Grammie - can you see what they have in their hands?):

And look, we have a new futon mattress! Something you would want to both sit OR sleep on! I must say, not having to feel the boards of the frame on my bottom really enhanced last night's Lost watching.

After I took Alex's pictures, he asked to take one of me. I think he did pretty well, considering I had my heaviest lens on.

9:30 Ariel woke up and didn't want much of her bottle.
10:00 Left the house. We first walked to the close library to get some books for the plane tomorrow (we are going to Toni-land for a week). And lo and behold, somehow we arrived just in time for story time. I was congratulating myself on finding a new story time that both the boys could go to that was 25 minutes closer, when 5 minutes into the reading a preschool of 30 kids came in. Now, this really rubs me the wrong way. The go to the local park too and overrun it. Why must they do this? Alex has only left his preschool once, to sing Rosh Hahshanah songs and the old folk's home.
11:00 We walked to grocery store to buy cat food and dishwasher soap. I think Jeremy would have bought the soap, but I'm afraid that if there was no cat food, the cats would not eat for a week.
11:15 Next, the yarn store. I haven't been in a LONG time (for some reason I don't like knitting in the summer). I got some yarn to knit up on the trip.
12:30 We got home, Ariel had a quick lunch of green.
12:45 Ariel went down for a nap.
1:00 Adam went down for a nap.
I wanted to start my latest knit project, but my yarn got all tangly. And then I got stubborn and was determined to fix it. This is the determination that got me through a year of three triathlons and a marathon, Alex's first year of life, and adjusting Ariel's carseat on Saturday. Unfortunately today, I just ended up wasting 25 minutes before I gave up and cut the knot out. Yeesh.
2:30 Ariel woke up, had a bottle.
3:00 I took Ariel and Alex outside to enjoy the beautiful fall afternoon. It was warm enough that she didn't need the hat on, but I had her wear it for the aestic value, and to also show Becky how I have broken her hat-pulling-off-will with the tie string.
I took pictures, and we played a rousing game of "Not in the mouth."
"Here is something on the ground. Can I put it in my mouth?"

"Ok, well what about this leaf? Is this good to eat?"

"Look at all the leaves! Surely one must be for eating!"

"Please?!?!?!"

"Please with sugar on top?!?!?"

And I do believe that Ariel is mastering bits of locomotion. I have now seen her turn 360 deg on her bottom. And every once in a while she pulls on something like her carseat or a piece of furniture and gets some forward motion. Slowly but surely...
4:30 Adam didn't wake up until Ariel left. This does not bode well for a good night's sleep.

LOVE THE PICTURES!!!!!!!!
(And how WAS last night after Adam's super long nap?)
Adam actually slept well, all things consider. He fell out of bed last night, which almost NEVER happens.
ooooh are you watching season 2? countdown to season three... 5 days! (do you have tv reception?)
Bons - we are watching season 2 right now, and have 2 discs left. We do not have reception, so either Crissy and I are going to go in together on a used VCR and she'll record season 3, or I'll have my dad do it (which is always a bit sketchy). But yeah, I'm all over season 3. Only 2 days left! (and however long it will take to watch the last 8 episodes).
