Plantar fasciitis
For the last few weeks (and prior to the Newtons), I've been noticing my heels in the morning. They aren't particularly sore - I'd probably say tight - and it doesn't feel like I've stepped on a nail. I brought it up with my chiropractor today and he thinks it's the very beginning stages of Plantar fascitis. We are speculating that my increased cycling is making my calves tighter, which in turn is pulling on my heels. But it can also be related to pronating, which I do, though I hope my orthodics are correcting the problem. I've known several people who have developed this and it wasn't something that was ever on my list of things to go through. Luckily, this is just the very early stages and my chiropractor thinks we can nip this in the bud. I need to do more calf stretching and massage and a couple foot strengthening exercises.
