June 10, 2008

7:15 Drop off. I was still in the showering, rinsing off after my swim workout. Yes, you heard that right. ME of all people got up at 5:30 so I could do a swim workout at the rec center. All it takes is putting down $80 on an athletic event and I'm as motivated as could be. I'm now signed up for Tri for the Cure in August. I did the first swim workout on their website and I did fine. A good sign, being that I haven't swam in 7 years. Now I just need to keep it up for another 9 weeks and I'm good.

7:30 Breakfast - just bogurt

8:30 Bike Alex down for his first day of Har Hashem camp.

9:15 After drop off, we met Rachel and Lilianna in Louisville for a park playdate.

I was the somewhat competent mom who brought snacks. Ariel had two granola bars and did not like sharing grapes with Lilianna. And see Rachel, she's 20 weeks pregnant and just found out she's having a boy. Ha ha ha!

Here's the park. Adam and Ariel are playing in the sand with Lilianna's sandbox toys under the blue ladder on the left:

There was even an impromptu music class in the shade. Which I did not enjoy but Ariel liked. Dude, don't call yourself a music teacher if you don't know Wheels on the Bus.

11:45 Got home, Ariel and I went down for a nap. Jeremy took Adam to Whole Foods.

2:40 Had to wake Ariel to pick up Alex.

3:00 Pick up. Alex was a true martyr riding his bike home UP hill in the 95 deg heat. The stories he'll have for his children.

3:30 When we got home, I put the sprinklers on for the kids. Alex declined but Adam and Ariel had a blast.

(Ariel's Ariel swimsuit did not return today after yesterday's rage blackout, hence the wetsuit.)

We even had popsicles, it's real summer a week early.

4:30 Pick up.
