7:something Drop off. I was out on a run of doom. I did 8 miles Sunday and felt fine. Then I did a coached 4 mile run Tuesday night and felt good then too. But today my hips hurt for at least 40 minutes, my "easy" run averaged 158 bpm and it just felt hard. I had to pick up the pace at the end so I wouldn't be late to take Alex to school, normally this route does not take over an hour like it did today.
7:55 Got home, Jeremy ran Alex to school and I got shoes on Ariel so she could walk down the street with me while I cooled off. When we got back, she ate yogurt and I did my stretches and exercises.
8:30 We took a shower.
9:30 Super fun playdate with Lilianna at Lilianna's house. The girls played together pretty well. Ariel had to get over her initial fear of Cassie the Big Dog.
11:00 Left super fun playdate, with a quick return to the yarn store since I figured out what I wanted.
11:30 Picked up Adam.
11:45 Lunch - hot dog, string cheese and grapes.
12:30 Down for nap.
2:40 Picked up Alex. While we walk down the street, I usually ask him about his day. Today I asked him how he liked his zucchini bread. He looked at me weirdly and said I didn't give him zucchini bread. And then he asked what was in his sandwich, it looked like ham. Which was even more strange, as he got PB&J hearts today.
So when we got home, we got out his lunch box and found that it looked just like Alex's but belonged to a kindergartener. Poor Alex was in tears. I talked to the teacher and got it straightened out. And luckily the kindergartener is not allergic to peanuts. We are going to put some sort of key chain or charm on Alex's box so this doesn't happen again.
3:30 Woke Ariel up to go swim team.
4:00 Swim team. Which Ariel calmly watches with her bag of Ms. Alex gave me a LOT of dramatics Tuesday about hating swim team but went relatively easily today. But he is counting down the days until December when I said he could quit. Funny thing, I think Adam would stay in, even though it's not going as easily for him.
4:15 Pick up.
