So, let's see. Crissy got in late Friday night. Saturday morning, we drove to Glenwood. We thought about hiking the Hanging Lake trail on the way there, but the parking lot was full so we went straight to town and spent the afternoon in the hot springs swimming pool. It felt very decadent to be at a pool without kids, and hey, very relaxing. I even swam about 12 minutes before I quit - swimming should not have an aftertaste. Or even a taste, for that matter.
It was a beautiful day in the high seventies, not that it matters since the pool is a constant 90something year round:

The other direction:

And Sunday, we drove up to Aspen. On the way to town, we skipped the main road and ended up right at the Maroon Bells shuttle lot. It wasn't what we were looking for, but it sounded like a good idea and turned out to be gorgeous. The aspens were just right:

I put some more on my flickr site. And after Maroon Bells, we walked around Aspen and did some shopping. It was very quite, being off season and a Sunday, but that was ok with us. So what if the Louis Vutton store was closed?
We spent another night in Glenwood, then headed back Monday morning. Becky dropped Ariel off at school so we just needed to be back in time to get Adam, then Ariel. Ariel is still sick, her teachers mentioned that her cough sounded worse and she acted very lethargic all day. We got home and she napped all afternoon.
Tuesday - no Ariel! L'Shanah Tova, Happy New Year. I did send the boys to school, but pulled them out for Rosh Hashana services.
Wednesday - Crissy had to leave in the morning. It was too short a visit, but fabulous nontheless. I had my first physical therapy appointment at 9:15 so Grandpa picked up Ariel and watched her and Hannah in the morning. The PT appointment was good. Apparently there is enough wrong with me to warrent going, but nothing drastic that's going to use up my $2million allotted insurance money. My right hip is jammed and is still a little tight and my hips and glutes are very weak. I have exercises to do at home to strengthen those areas.
I got home around 10:30, the girls ate lunch and then we got them both to nap so Grandpa could take a bike ride. Grandpa left with the both of them around 3:30, so a pretty easy day for me.
And now, onto your regularly scheduled blog :)
7:15 Drop off. I meant to be off running but I could not get out of bed this morning. I do not do well without a training program.
Breakfast - just yogurt.
8:00 Sent Alex off to school.
And then, a quiet morning. I thought that since I skipped my run, I might take the bike and trailer out for a ride but I wasn't motivated to do that either. Instead, I worked on an old photo shoot. This was the best family picture of the day, but mom wanted me to swap dog heads.

After an hour or so, I got this:

11:30 Picked up Adam on the bike.
Lunch - grapes and mac & cheese.
12:30 Down for nap.
3:30 Ariel woke up on her own, which greatly improved her mood at swim team.
4:00 Swim team. Or maybe Ariel's mood was a result of the pack of Ms I bought her.
4:35 Pick up at the pool.
