I had a pretty triathlon-filled weekend even though I didn't actually race. I volunteered for the Boulder Sprint registration on Saturday. Ironman bought the series at the end of last year and the general consensus is that they completely botched this race. At last year's registration, they had a table where you looked up your race number alphabetically, then waited in a line no more than 5 deep behind the matching box. The registration person checked your ID, gave you your race packet and there was one other table to pick up your schwag bag and t-shirt. The whole process couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes. Ironman had the same lengthy packet pick up for the Sprint as I went through in Boise. Only in Boise there were 2 days for athletes to pick up packets, instead of the 6 hours allotted yesterday for the same number of competitors. I talked to people who waited nearly 2 hours in line in the sun and they were not happy.
This morning, the boys and I went to watch the race. The boys had a great time playing at the Res, I don't know why Jeremy hates watching me race so much. They were very independent and I was able to watch the race and cheer on fellow D3ers.
And here are a couple more pictures from Boise. Here I am going out on the run, fairly happy and optimistic:

And here I am coming back. I love the expression on that guy's face. He's like, "Damn, she's fast." I had to look up his race number and it turns out I was passing him on his first lap. Poor guy still had over an hour and a half to go. He was chicked before the race even started.

Swim: 3750 yards
Bike: 61.7 miles
