You come home with extra children. Actually, there was one more, but Sam didn't want to take a bath.
To backtrack, Ellen came over yesterday afternoon to pick up a bike Jeremy fixed up for Mr. Ellen. And she just happened to come over at dinner time and it just so happened the only thing in my pantry was a can of refried beans. So it made perfect sense to us to go get some dinner together. And Wahoo's is an excellent choice because all the adults like it and I can get Noodles next store for Alex and Adam.
Now, the margarita may have been a mistake, because that led to the super fun idea of having a slumber party. And there was a lot of party, but not a great deal of slumber. I think Alex and Ted went to sleep after 10, and that was after Ted got pulled out of Alex's room.
And then I woke up tired because my cough really kept me up. Blah. (and ps, I think Ariel is the carrier monkey AGAIN.)
7:15 Becky dropped off Ariel.
7:40 Took the boys to swimming. Jeremy fed Ariel peas and waffles for breakfast.
8:00 Swimming. Not so good. Alex decided that he didn't want to go, so he spent the time from he woke up to the time he got into the pool complaining. And he did well once he got in the pool, he just needs to refine his kicking.
And Adam is still not kicking at all, so today he had to wear sneakers in the pool to help him feel his feet, but that just pissed him off. Good news is, he doesn't have to wear them tomorrow. Bad new is, he has to wear a wetsuit with his arms with his torso until he figures out how to kick.
8:30 Jeremy dropped Ariel off at the pool.
8:45 Got home.
9:30 Changed a poopy.
9:40 Left for the library. Alex rode his bike, I pushed Adam on his trike and Ariel rode in the backpack.
10:15 Got to the library and there was a stupid cheap preschool class already there. Boy that annoys me. There were about 15 extra kids and it made for a big crowd. But as Ellen (later) pointed out, they were pretty well behaved.
10:30 Ellen and Ted showed up for story time.
11:00 After storytime, we went and got some coffee and the kids had cookies. Ariel just had a little bite.
And when we rode home, Alex went down the "big" hill without freaking out. In fact, he did really well with all the up and down hills, mucho progress-o!
11:45 Got home, had lunch. Ariel had the rest of her peas and yogurt and then was done.
12:15 Ariel went down for a nap.
2:00 Ariel woke up.
Our afternoon activities:
Adam got his head fairly well stuck in a net:

Ariel, the fashion plate:

Alex, as R2D2:

How Ariel looked much of the afternoon:

Alex's picture for a preschool project I hope to do with Alex's class.
Take picture of child with hand outstretched in fist like so:

Use exacto-knife to cut holes and insert artificial flower. Then have said child decorate a frame or mat (this one is decorated with C3PO - left and R2D2 - right - for Grammie - Grammie, act surprised).

4:30 Pick up.

OKdokey, no more spontaniety (sp?) for us!!
Sorry about the preschool class, you weren't feeling to happy as it was. I hope the coffee helped. Does Adam still have a net on his head? :-)
Alex is too cute. Love the photos and the photo project. I remembered you mentioning this idea (believe it or not!) and I have already decided this will be our mothers day project as well. Thanks for the great ideas.
shoes in the pool? Yikes. I'd be pissed too.
That is such a cute picture idea! Maybe I'll make myself one for Mother's Day?
