7:30 Breakfast - hot cereal today
8:15 I tried putting Ariel down for a nap so she would be well rested for the day's adventure. And then little snip managed to climb out of the pack-n-play and get out of the room. Guess Ariel's jail days are over. So yeah, no nap for Ariel.
9:45 Today was one of the magical days that there is no school. I told Alex to pick out an adventure and he haggled between the zoo and the aquarium. Finally, he asked Ariel and decided that she wanted to see "Fishes!" so the aquarium it was.
Alex was very excited to show Ariel the aquarium and hold her hand so she didn't get lost.

Alex in a bubble under one of the aquariums.

Ellen told me you could swim with the sharks and I just didn't believe her. But yeah, you sure can. For only $175/person.

So now there's a whole new animal to see in the aquariums:

All in all, it was a nice adventure. Of course there was a huge, annoying elementary school field trip that we tried to stay away from. And Ariel freaked out at all the dark parts, especially the flash flood ("HOLD YOU!!! ALL DONE!!!") But no one got lost and everyone liked the fish, so I consider the trip a success.
Ah crap, I've lost them and they are headed for the street.

11:25 Left the aquarium. I got on I-25 and it wasn't moving so I got off on the next exit and then we had a nice little tour of downtown Denver, ending at a quaint Taco Bell on Colfax:

Ariel ate some quesadilla.
12:30 Got on the road again. I'm started to remember why I've been avoiding my car. All the driving today was either heavy, slow traffic, lots of lights, or random construction or otherwise closed lanes. Guess that's normal, huh?
1:20 Got home. Ariel fell asleep in the car (even though she threw her nuk on the floor and then screamed for it) and went to sleep in her crib.
3:15 Ariel woke up. And started asking to watch Elmo.
3:35 Gave into Elmo. God bless you, Elmo.
3:45 Ariel freaked out about Elmo and demanded that it be turned off. Whaa??? So we read books instead.
4:00 Pick up

The picture of ALEX holding the hands of both ADAM and ARIEL is too cute...what a grown-up guy! Your pictures of the sharks shows off your new camera equipment fabulously...print those for sale!
You really did get some great aquarium pics. I too love the pics of Alex holding the littles one's hands, he's so cute! Sorry about the weird Elmo experience, and she isn't even two yet!
