Mar. 24, 2006

7:05 Drop off, awake. I encouraged her to go back to sleep in the carseat, but no dice.

7:15 Bjorn

8:15 Wake up. I put her in the swing while I made Adam breakfast.

8:25 Bottle. I'm experimenting today. Ariel has been so spitty this week, that I'm dropping down to 3oz per feeding to see if that helps.

8:45 Hung out in the exosaurer with Crunch Bug:

The Bare Bottom Bandit found a pair of Alex's underwear from the clean basket (that I have yet to put away) and decided they were just the fashion accessory he needed:

9:10 Dang, Ariel is cranky today.

9:20 Asleep in bjorn. We need to have some sort of fabulous adventure today. It doesn't seem quite warm enough for outside fabulous adventures though so the zoo is out. But something... we must leave the house soon...

9:45 Mr. Kevin (but you can just call me Kevin) dropped off Adam's blanket that he had left at Crissy's house yesterday. Tell Mr. Kevin thanks again for me, Crissy, and let him know he got an honorable mention in the blog.

9:50 Finally got my act ready enough to get out of the house. Our fabulous adventure? Walking to Starbucks. Ok, so that's not very fabulous, but I couldn't come up with anything else, probably because I didn't have any caffeine in my system.

10:30 Get to Starbucks. I had my regular grande half-caf soy mocha at 145 with whipped cream, Ariel had another 3 oz bottle. At least 3 people made the. "Boy you have your hands full but you finally got a girl" comment.

And I'd like to add an excited triva question to this exciting blog. I just ordered 6 of 7 towards my ___ free Starbucks. Make a guess in the comments, I'll reveil the answer on Monday. The winner gets.... I don't know, I'll think of something.

And here are the boys driving a shopping cart:

10:50 Just as we were about to go to the library, I ran into Kayleigh and Zeke. Now this is the weird part of my day. Kayleigh's family moved to Alaska a bit over a year ago, and I haven't seen or heard from her since. But this morning when I was trying to decide where to go, I was looking at these pictures on Alex and Adam at seven months on my counter...

... and I suddenly thought of Kayleigh and Zeke, and how Zeke would be about 27 months old and how I haven't seen him in a long time. I don't what in the picutres triggered it, other than the ones of Adam were taken in December 2004, when Kayleigh and I hung out a bit during the holidays. So it was really weird to see Kayleigh in Safeway.

And that's not my only weird Kayleigh story. See, Jeremy used to work with Kayleigh's husband Brian. Jeremy is a tad introverted, so we had never hung out as couples but Jeremy had told me about them. When Adam was 2 months old, I decided to go to a La Leche League meeting to talk about Adam's reflux and nursing issues. The meeting turned out to be at Kayleigh's house and even though we had never met before, I figured out who she was. We aren't close friends, but we did see each other at LLL meeting and occassionally have playgroups. Kayleigh is just here visiting her mother so she hasn't moved back.

11:00 I talked Kayleigh into coming to the library with us (where I changed Ariel's diaper and clothes). We hung out a bit and read some book (and I have pictures and video but I haven't downloaded it yet).

Ok, now it's downloaded. Here they are at the library:

And here's a video of Ariel "talking" (Crissy, this one is especially for you). Let me know if you can see it:

Video

11:30 Kayleigh invited us back to her mom's house, which was close by. We walked there, and played in the backyard for a bit. Adam was enamoured with their corgi.

1:00 I fed Ariel another 3 oz bottle just as we were getting ready to go. And then Alex spilled his Starbucks milk all over the floor.

1:15 Finally left Kayleigh and Zeke.

2:15 Got home. Adam fell asleep in the stroller and is still napping. Ariel was sleeping the whole walk and stayed asleep too.

3:30 As usual, both Adam and Ariel woke at the same time. Adam was not placated by the bowl of mac & cheese I offered, so I had to hold him while I fed Ariel her 3 oz bottle.

3:45 Ariel hung out in the exosaurer, then the swing, while I held Adam.

4:00 Pick up.

Anyone want a free mini zen rock garden?

Are you saying there are TOO many picutes of Adam? I only count 2 baby pictures, a shopping cart picture, a group picture and a picture of his butt. Ariel has 2 and a group picture, and Alex has 2 baby pictures, shopping cart and group. What are you saying!!!!

And hey, you haven't guessed my Starbucks, though you should have a good idea.

Hmmm, I'm sorry you can't get the video. You will get it when I burn your March CD. Maybe Crissy can download it???

My guess for the free Starbucks would be 33 since I am at 11 and I do not go nearly as much as you.
I love the blog and I am entertained everyday. I never realized one of us could actually be so creative.

Ok, the correct answer is 7. I think I must talk the talk more than I walk the walk.
