7:00 Drop off. I let Ariel play for a bit while I did some chores.
7:30 Breakfast - mushed blueberries and waffles.
8:00 Put Ariel down for a nap. She didn't fall asleep right away. First, she had to pull off the sheet I've been using for a curtain. Just yesterday I was thinking that I never did get those room darkening curtains I've been looking at, guess I need to now.
After she fell asleep, Adam and I cleaned Alex's room. Well, I cleaned and Adam played so it was sorta a two steps forward, one step back activity.
10:30 Ariel woke up.
11:15 Lunch - mused mixed veggies and string cheese.
12:15 We left early so I could run by the post office and mail some pictures to Grannie. Yes dad and Becky, I finally got around to it. I also needed to mail my sales tax return (aren't you proud, Becky?) and a credit card bill. Little beknownst to me, my post office is closed for construction. They had a mobile office in the parking lot, which took forever. I had time to chat with a lady in line and she said the construction is going to last months and that some mail had been contaminated by asbestos and has been delayed. Well, where the heck have I been? Apparently not reading the Daily Camera, that's for sure.
1:00 Picked up Alex from school.
1:30 Home - Ariel had a goldfish snack.
And here is what Ariel does now at my house, all day long.
First, she pushes the grocery cart up the hall:

And then she pushes it back down:

Sometimes, she even puts toys in it, and then takes them out. And sometimes she pushes it into the living room and family room. Thankfull,y she finally figured out how to turn it, which makes her less likely to throw a fit when it gets stuck at a wall.
And the story behind this cart is that Crissy gave it to Adam about a year ago because that's all he played with at her house. There's this magic age around 15-18 months where pushing is the most fun ever. Just think Becky, when Ariel chooses to walk, you can pull out your baby Dyson :)
2:30 Ariel went down for another nap.
3:45 Ariel was rudely awakened by my fighting children.
And since Amy asked, here's the card I made with Alex's picture. I had him write out all of Happy Valentine's Day but then decided just to scan his signature, Alet:

4:00 More cart pushing.
4:25 Pick up.
Other things Ariel has done today:
- restarted my computer twice
- pooped three times
- got her hand hammered by Adam during an exuberant pound-a-peg session

I guess the cart works better on the floor than it does on our carpet.
I was commenting the same thing to Wendy this morning. Pushing is not nearly as fun on carpet.
Love the pictures :)
P.S. Joanne likes the plumber crack, lol.
