Feb. 26, 2007

Happy Monday again. Not much to report on our weekend. I did take Miss Mae's pictures and they came out pretty darn good, if I may say so myself. You can see them here. We took a family trip to the CU planetarium and saw the only kid's show they seem to have. I had already seen it with Alex's preschool so I didn't tell Jeremy how awful it was so he wouldn't find an excuse not to go. Didn't matter, Jeremy fell asleep anyway. But the boys enjoyed it, and that's what matters, right?

7:00 Drop off. Breakfast - mushed blueberries, hot cereal and cod liver oil. I just like typing cod liver oil. Who ever thought I would be feeding anyone that???

7:45 Jeremy took Alex to preschool.

8:30 After Ariel had a diarrhea-cha-cha-cha accident and got new clothes, she took a nap.

10:15 Ariel woke up. With some more soiled clothes. She was already wearing her spare outfit, so I had to put a pair of Adam's pants on her. To combat the cha-cha-chas, I dissolved my probiotic capsules in Ariel's juice. Hopefully that will fix her up.

And guess what Ariel decided this weekend? She decided that it's time to walk. She's got that whole Frankenstein thing going on, it's very cute and she's very proud of herself:

10:45 We went to the grocery store.

Adam and Ariel rode the cart together and had cookies (though Ariel still only eats half, that's good, right???)

Oh, and yes, I put Adam's old sweater on Ariel. I do that sometimes. See, when I spent 60 knit hours and over $40 on fancy-schmancy baby alpaca yarn, I like to see the sweater worn more than one season. And the bag lady knew Ariel was a girl, not that Ariel's pink clothing seems to be an indicator of her sex.

11:30 Got home, unpacked groceries (a WHOLE week's worth) and then we had lunch.
Ariel had sweet potatoes and yogurt.

And this morning was very Adam today. First, he had to poop, but would sit on the potty and then not do it. Which wouldn't be a problem except he insisted that I sit in there with him. I finally brought my knitting, and that was ok until Ariel fell into the bathtub reaching for a toy.

Then, Adam locked himself in the other bathroom, which was disturbing because even though I had the pin-key I could not unlock the door. Adam finally figured it out.

12:45 Left to pick up Alex.

1:00 After we picked up Alex, we hung out at the school for a while playing outside. It's nice that it's getting warmish and the snow is mostly gone. Ariel liked acting like a big girl and walked all around the playground. She's also enamoured with Alex. He'll do something goofy to make her laugh, and then she laughs so he's goofy again. A vicious cycle, but a cute one.

2:15 Got home. And Adam finally pooped! This whole no little potty hasn't been too bad. He's pooped in the big potty every day and didn't even need chocolate after today's event. This morning was just kinda annoying.

Then the kids had a snack of cheetos, but Ariel didn't like them so she threw them on the floor. Obviously not my child.

3:30 Becky picked up early so she could go on some nefarious trip to Best Buy.

OMG she is so cute. I mean, talk about practicing in private! I bet she worked on that in her crib at night for a month. She's so good at it! I love how they hold their little arms up for balance. Becky, Ariel has totally stolen my heart. What a cutie!!!

I MISS ARIEL! She is just so cute walking. I can't wait to see it in person!
You could write your own comic strip just with your Adam stories. He is really quite something. I miss him too!

I'm glad you captured Ariel walking. It IS very cute. Only she is very determined of WHERE she wants to walk. Let's just say that Best Buy was NOT super fun :(
