But I still saw Ariel on Wednesday. She and Alex had their well check doctor visits. At five years old, Alex is 32 1/2 lbs and 41 1/2" tall. Ariel is now 18 lbs 19 oz (which I think we can call 19 lbs). Ariel had another confirmed ear infection. No one got shots and otherwise it was not very exciting.
7:00 Drop off. Ariel had breakfast - mushed blueberries and hot cereal.
7:45 Because of all the general sickness, I opted out of the mall. Ariel went down for a nap instead.
Oh, and before work, I asked Jeremy to put together a little red chair I bought at IKEA. For the record, Jeremy said I am not allowed to purchase anything from IKEA again. He had a more colorful way of saying that, but I don't remember the exact wording. But there was something about the poorest craftsmanship that he had ever been a part of, up to and including high school shop class. I wasn't expecting much for $16.99 and it looked fine when he was done, so I'm happy. And I guess it's good that there's not an IKEA in Colorado.
9:30 Ariel woke up. I set about to taking her 15 month pictures. Ariel was not very cooperative.
Here she is on the new IKEA chair, not smiling. But not crying, either.

Then she saw her binky in the pile of clothes we had just taken off and she won't put it down:

I gave her some juice to get the binky out of her mouth, but she's quick. As soon as she was done with the juice the binky went back in. But she's smiling, and that's something.

Then I tried the chair one more time:

Somewhere in there I did get this one:

And I'll let you in on an a little bit of the magic of photography. This was the original picture. It's hard to tell on the web size, but I had to clean up a lot of snot post processing:

11:30 Lunch - mushed carrots, yogurt and then Ariel did not care for my homemade bread. I know this because she threw in on the floor. She was also very grumpy so I gave her some motrin.
12:00 Back down for a nap. She had a slow start and first had to take off her shoes and throw them and her binky, lovely and blanket out of the crib, then she pulled down the window sheet (note to self, MUST remember to buy real curtains). But then she went to sleep.
3:30 Wake up. Small snack of cheerios and goldfish.
4:00 Becky came early so we could try and get some more shots. We got more, but I had a weird light issue going on and I'm not sure if I like them. But here's what we got:

I think it is 18 lbs, 15 oz... :)
Oh, and you are truly a magician for getting any good pictures of the little princess.
I love the trip pics. Even the one with the boys being crazy. It is so cute the way they have the same "funny face". They really are amazing friends.
Yesterday, we unpacked our picture boxes. Gavin helped and when we came across the Best Friends pic he just stood there looking at is longingly. It was the sweetest sight.
