Well, to all of you, anyway. I guess my family is not celebrating this year. Alex's Jewish preschool doesn't celebrate and Jeremy told me that my present is a trip to Crissy's house. I think he takes after his father and is against any Hallmark sponsored holidays. But it would be nice if he got me some chocolate, I ate all by birthday present (thanks again, Judy).
7:10 Drop off. We are still out of baby food, so I gave Ariel 1/2 a banana, which she did not eat today. But she did eat a full bowl of oatmeal, the same amount that I eat for breakfast.
7:40 Obligatory early morning poop. Ariel, that is.
8:30 Left for preschool.
9:00 Got to preschool. Dropped Alex off. He was very distressed that Ellen and Mae were at school but Ted was not. Distressed to the point of almost crying. Poor guy. (Ted was coming later with his dad.)
9:30 Ariel got to come to Adam's music class today. The class is for 18 months - 3 years so she's a little young. But she was very attentive and didn't cry so I guess she liked it. And now at week 3, Adam is really into it. He's the only kid that sings along, and he does all the finger play and movement.
10:30 Ellen and I went on an Adventure. I had heard about a great breakfast place, the Jamestown Mercentile. I had never been there for food (dad, have you eaten there?), but I had been by many times on my bike. It's a 30 minute drive, which we figured would be good for Ariel to take a nap. And brunch was very good. I had Huevos Rancheros and Ellen had Eggs Benedict Florentine. Adam and Ariel split some French toast and Mae had pancakes. Oh, I guess Adam also ate the whipped cream off my hot chocolate and some of my sour cream. Weird kid. There was no one else in the restaurant and it was a very scenic drive, even if it is winter and snowy. The only downside was they only had one high chair, which Mae refused to give up for Ariel. But it worked out in the end.
Here's a picture I took on the way out:

12:15 Left the Merc, drove back to school in the snow.
1:00 Picked up Alex.
1:30 Got home, where Grammie and Pop-pop were waiting. I packed up Adam, he's going to their house while Alex and I go to Crissy's house. We thought it best that Adam leave first so he doesn't realize that he's being left behind. And, Pop-pop had a doctor's appointment today in Denver so it made sense. Adam didn't really seem to mind going, he's going to have a great time.
2:00 Ariel had a snack - Go-gurt (left over from Alex's preschool snack) and frozen blueberries (which she dumped out and then wouldn't touch). And for the record, Alex loves frozen blueberries and ate a whole bowl while Ariel made a mess.
2:30 Ariel went down for a nap.
Another attempt at being artsy, which I think failed. I was trying to get an interesting picture of my paper window snowflakes against the ones outside. Oh, did I mention that it's snowing again?

4:40 Pick up. Ariel was still sleeping, I think she missed her regular naps this week.
So, tomorrow Alex and I will fly to Crissy's new house and then come back Tuesday afternoon. The blog will be back next Wednesday. Toodle-loo!

everytime dave and I ride to jamestown we eat breakfast there. If you order pancakes, there are more than you can eat. From his house it is 26 miles there and then the same with the pancakes back
I bet Carl could eat all the pancakes... February is his favorite month at IHOP when they do unlimited pancakes. It's quite sickening.
Have a super fun time with Crissy.
