Well, here it is again Tuesday night and I'm just getting to Friday's blog. But I do have a good excuse, I had to prepare for my fabulous Birthday get-away weekend.
7:00 Drop off. Ariel had some sort of breakfast... I think it involved mushed fruit and oatmeal.
9:00 Dropped Alex off at preschool.
9:30 We went to PALS class. Ariel was content to sit on my lap the whole time just watching the other kids.
11:00 Went out to lunch. Yet again Ariel fell asleep in the car and then slept on the restaurant floor. I think that even though she's not actively participating in the class, it's tiring for her to observe.
12:00 Ariel woke up at the restaurant and half a jar of some orange mush and a few bites of Adam's french toast.
12:30 We went to Shabbat sing.
1:00 Picked up Alex.
1:10 Got stuck in the preschool parking lot for 10 minutes. The lot is small as it is, but with all the plow piles it's easy to get trapped.
1:20 Dropped Ariel off at Becky's work.
1:25 Picked up Jeremy.
And then the rest of our weekend... We went home, finished packing, then dropped the kids off at Grammie's house. Then Jeremy drove another 5 hours in questionable weather to Wolf Creek Ski area. Actually, we stayed in South Fork. And then we skied and/or snowboarded for 3 days. It was very wonderful. On Saturday we enjoyed lots of fresh powder. In fact, there was too much powder and I got very stuck several times.
We found a great coffee shop that had better drinks than Starbucks. One dinner we went to a Swiss restaurant and I had a nice lobster bisque. The next night we went to The Hungry Logger where I ordered trout, that much to my surprise was deep fried. We did not watch the Superbowl. Surprised?
Sunday was local appreciation day at the resort and we got $25 lift tickets. We decided to ski Monday too. And then Monday afternoon we drove back 7 hours, stopping to get our kids.
We were very fortunate to have such a nice weekend. When we left Friday it was so cold that I almost left some faucets running so our pipes didn't freeze. And then Saturday there were some horrific winds along the front range that would have made skiing miserable, but it was only a bit breezy down south.
I put pictures here.

I'm happy to see you had a birthday cake at Super Grammies. It sounds like you had a great weekend. Yeah! I love the pic of you in the deep powder.
You're so old :(
