July 13, 2007

Ellen may have lead me to an life altering discovery. Yes, it's that big. She brought me a package of her favorite coffee beans from Chicago, which while a very nice gesture did present some problems. Like, I don't have a coffee grinder, let alone a maker. So Ellen lent me a grinder and I bought a french press from amazon. And today I enjoyed a mighty good (and pretty cheap) cup of coffee. And because it had approximately 1/100th the amount of sugar as a Starbucks mocha, I didn't get jittery, either.

This picture would be more interesting if I had taken the picture with the coffee in the french press, but I had to drink it first before I could take a picture.

7:00 Drop off.

7:15 Breakfast - the rest of the blueberries from yesterday and 4 mini waffles.

9:00 Left for the adventure of the day - I dropped Ariel off with Ellen and Mae at PALs and took Alex, Adam and Sam to a make up swim class (for the class they all missed last week). Only Alex was approved for the first class, but Adam insisted on putting on his suit and so he was let in. There's Adam and Alex resting on the boat in the middle:

Adam diving in to join Alex on the castle:

Alex swimming:

Miss Judy pointing out where they would be jumping in, and Alex touching Adam in the way that got him yelled at yesterday:

10:30 The boys finished up their lessons and Sam's wasn't until 11:30 so we went to Moe's for a quick bite to eat. I bought 2 egg and cheese bagels. I had 3/4 as did Alex, and Sam and Adam had a 1/4. Adam is feeling a bit under the weather, and Sam had never eaten egg and cheese bagels before.

11:30 Back to the pool for Sam's lesson. You'll note these pictures aren't as good as the ones from the first class. I was using my big flash for Alex and Adam, but it was taking 5 minutes to charge each time. This is what I get with my pop-up flash. About to swim:

On the boat:

A perfect float:

During the lesson, Ellen, Mae and Ariel showed up. I was taking pictures and looked across the pool and saw Ariel emptying my purse. Note the credit cards scattered across the floor:

12:00 After the lesson, we stopped at Jamba Juice for smoothies.

1:00 Got home, Ariel fell asleep in the car.

And here are the pictures Ellen took of the morning:

Ariel and goo:

Shaving cream:

Blocks:

Snack. After Renee cut the grapes, Ariel not only licked them, but she ATE 5. Ellen saw her!

Playing outside:

Ariel the Rock Star:

And if you look back at that picture of Ariel emptying my purse, you'll note that she's wearing a different outfit than she left for PALs in.

I'll take your pop-up flash over my *ahem* picture-taking skill anytime! I LOVE the one of Sam in the boat. Ariel was so great today, totally into everything. I didn't get pics of music time because both girls insisted on sitting on my lap, but she liked that too.

I don't believe she ate grapes... I might have to challenge her today. Great job on getting her to eat them though!

Great pics - looks like they have a blast at swimming
