Wow. What an epic day.

7:00 Drop off. Ariel looked tired and slightly sick again. Still in the nose region.

7:20 Attempted breakfast. Jeremy was at Whole Foods yesterday and I asked him to grab some waffles. He forgot, so this morning he ran out to Wild Oats. He couldn't find the regular ones so he grabbed something else, which of course didn't work at all. Actually, that's not entirely true, Adam ate some, but Ariel and Alex wouldn't touch them. And Ariel wouldn't have her apricots either.

And here's a fun conversation Alex and I had today.

Alex: Mommy, what are asses?
Me: Ummmm.... where did you hear that word?
Alex: At rocket camp.
Me: Oh. And what did they say about that at rocket camp?
Alex: That they are very hot and are in clouds on Venus.
Me: Ah, acids. Let me explain...

7:40 Down for nap.

9:45 Ariel woke up.

10:15 Left for our many adventures of the day. First we stopped by Performance to buy a new bite valve for Alex's camel back. I think Ariel bit through it but it could have been misuse on anyone's part.

10:45 Dropped Alex off at Rocket Camp

11:00 I took Adam and Ariel to meet Ellen at her community pool. I got Adam and Ariel in their suits and sunscreened up, then I had to leave again.

11:30 Stopped by Nordstrom Rack to buy 19 pairs of panties for my internet friends. It's a long story, and as Jeremy declared, "Patented Wendy Make Work Project."

12:10 Gassed up my car. Is it wrong to be excited about only paying $3.09?

12:15 Picked up Alex

12:25 Grabbed some lunch. Alex declined an Eggel, so he got just a plain bagel.

12:45 Got back to the pool with Alex. Ariel and Adam had been having a great time. It's a really nice kid friendly pool. It has a nice zero entry section and it's easy to keep an eye on everyone. Ariel was "crazy" according to Ellen but had a great time.









I gave Ariel some of her Eggel sandwich but she didn't eat much.

2:00 Ellen left to nap Sam, Mae and Ariel at her house. I stayed at the pool with Alex, Adam and Ted.

2:15 We had to leave the pool, the afternoon storm was coming and there was a lightening sighting.

2:45 Stopped by Jamba Juice, then on to Target to buy envelopes to mail above panties.

3:15 Got back to Ted's house. All the little kids were napping. Ellen said Ariel went straight down without a peep.

3:45 Ellen took Ted to his Tae Kwan Do class. He tested for an orange belt today. Go Ted!

4:30 I woke up Mae and Sam, they were happy which is always iffy but nice when it happens.

4:35 Becky came and had to wake up Ariel.

And then my night didn't end there. When Ted got home at 6:00 we left for our celebratory bike ride to Wahoo's and Noodles. We stopped for ice cream on the way home (after the wind picked up and it sprinkled a bit). We didn't get back to Ted's house until almost 9:00 and that's way past everyone's bed time.
