We had another busy weekend around here. On Saturday, Jeremy took the boys to the Wings Over the Rockies Museum (at the old Lowry site). They had a special Star Wars feature with costumed characters and an x-wing that the boys got to sit in.

Sunday, we watched Jeremy race, then Alex did his first bike race. The kid's race was one lap of the criterium, about .7 miles. Alex had fun, and that was the point.

And Monday - once again I got up at 5:45 and did a 6:30 hike. This time, Jenny and I climbed Flagstaff. It was sure purty in the morning, and good to start so early beacuse today is going to be hot.

8:10 Got home to the news that Adam had stuck a tiny lego up his nose. I couldn't see it, so I waited to call the doctor.

8:30 Called the doctor, made an appointment for 10:45. Put Ariel down for a nap.

10:00 Ariel woke up, we got ready to leave to take Alex to rocket camp.

10:15 Tried to drop Alex off at rocket camp. Apparently I am some sort of moron (although I was not the one who put a lego up my nose). Despite checking the registration at least 3 times, I somehow thought that the camp started at 10:15. Nope, it started at 10:45. So we had time to check out the planetarium exhibits while we waited for it to start.

I also canceled the doctor's appointment because Adam claimed the lego came out and he could breath on both sides of his nose.

10:45 Real drop off was hard. Alex realized that he wouldn't know any of the kids at camp and got very sad. He didn't throw a tantrum, his eyes just filled with water. The kids were wearing name tags so I introduced Alex to a few boys before I left. After that, Adam, Ariel and I stopped at The Berry Best Smoothies. I love they both will drink smoothies with blueberries even though neither one would touch a real blueberry with a 10 foot pole. Then we went to Great Harvest and split a cinnamon roll. Ted, Sam and Mae joined us.

11:30 We went to the rocket park for a few minutes.

12:15 Picked Alex up from rockets camp. He had a great time! When we got home, he was so excited to show us the balloon rocket launcher they had made a camp. I helped him set this up, but he told me what to do and did most of the work.



1:00 Lunch - Ariel had mac & cheese and no mushed apricots.

3:00 Nap

4:15 Wake up

4:25 We tried waiting outside for Becky, but Ariel wanted inside so she could watch the Backyardigans with the boys.
