Said Alex with a big hug when I picked him up from the first day of Kindergarten. He said they went to music and PE and then found notes that lead them to a gingerbread man snack.
Here's some pictures.
And dear sweet Adam. Some time after Crissy and Gavin and Marcus were here but before he went "camping" with Grammie, he decided that he has to sleep in a sleeping bag on his floor. Oh well, he stays there all night so I suppose it's fine:

7:10 Drop off
7:20 Chocolate chip waffles for breakfast.
8:00 Down for nap
9:30 After Ariel woke up, we rode our bikes to the library. Well, Alex rode and I rode with Adam and Ariel (who fought like cats) in the trailer.
10:15 Storytime. Ariel is still not interested, but luckily the boys still love it.
11:00 Alex had a quick picnic lunch outside and then we rode to Kingergarten.
11:45 Kindergarten was supposed to start. But the door was shut and 5 kids were left on the sidewalk.
12:00 The teacher finally let the kids in. She was mumbling something about the k-care lunch mess but I think it was pretty unprofessional to leave the other kids outside. Surely there was a helper or someone who could at least tell us what was going on. It's day 3 for this teacher, how long will it take to work this out?
After drop off, there was a little parent get together and I met some more parents. One couple were from Peru, Dad is going to CU for his masters. Very interesting. There were snacks and I personally witnessed Ariel eat several grape and apple pieces. She even put a pineapple in her mouth, but spit it right out again.
12:40 Got home. Fed the kids lunch, mac & cheese of course.
1:15 Ariel went down for a nap
2:30 I had to wake Ariel to pick up Alex from school.
When we got home, I showed her her new sweater. I had made it for Mae for her birthday, but it was too small. So now Ariel gets it:

3:30 Ariel was pretty cranky about the whole getting up thing so I put her back down for a nap.
4:10 I don't think she ever slept, so I got her back up and changed her diaper. Plus, Ellen et al where here and I knew she'd want to see Mae-Mae.
4:30 Pick up
And random Ariel observations. For the last few weeks, I noticed that when she's ready to go (like today at the library) she says, "ah-bye-bye." Today I figured out she's saying, "I bye-bye." And she has a few phrases my kids didn't have at 21 months like "bad guy" and "good guy." She's pretty good at shooting too.

Love the sweater. I'm guessing she will be able to wear it all of fall, winter, and maybe even spring.
