August 30, 2007

7:10 Drop off.

7:30 Breakfast - homemade waffles. And then she wanted "bowger" (yogurt), apparently not to eat but to paint her waffle with.

7:45 Jeremy took Adam to school. Jeremy is going to be the Adam dropper-offer. My watch only has 3 alarms and my day has 4 pick-ups and drop-offs so someone had to take one off my hands.

8:00 Put Ariel down for a nap. She didn't really sleep, but I was able to clean up breakfast and take a shower.

9:45 Left the house. Today was the first day that I've driven anywhere since the grocery store on Monday. We went to the Boulder Running Company to pick up the new pair of shoes that I ordered two weeks ago. It's too late for my walk, but now that I'm going to be running again (uh, any day now) I'll need new shoes anyway.

Then we went across the parking lot to Pearl Vision and I got my glasses adjusted while the kids played at the lego table.

And our last stop, The Great Harvest Bread. They had some great samples, cinnamon rolls and bread sticks for the kids, and a slice of hot bread for me. I really didn't need anything after that but felt obligated to buy a loaf of honey wheat.

11:00 Got home in time for Alex to have a quick bite to eat.

11:10 So this is our current schedule - I ride my bike with the trailer and Alex rides his bike to Adam's school.

11:30 Adam is supposed to get out of school. It hasn't happened yet. I'd be quite happy with my child having a shorter recess (the activity right before school gets out) if it meant he would be on time.

11:37 Adam came dashing out the door. Threw him in the trailer and we rode to Alex's school. Good thing it's very downhill this way and we can go fast.

11:47 Dropped Alex off. I just need Adam to be a teeny-weeny bit earlier so Alex isn't late. Or, I could go into the school, fill out a slip at the office and grab Adam early, but that seems like too much work on my end. Hopefully they will start getting out on time.

12:00 Got home, had lunch. Ariel had the rest of her bread stick, string cheese and some grapes. Yes, grapes.

12:30 Put Ariel down for a real nap and then Adam and I took a nap in Alex's bed.

1:30 Everyone woke up.

2:30 Left on the bike to get Alex. After school we played on the playground for a bit. An older girl found Ariel and followed her around and "helped" her on the playground.

3:00 Got home. Not much else happened.

I like this picture (this was after she asked for more bowger and I said no and then she asked for her nuk and I said, "I don't know where it is, do you?")

4:30 Pick up

Have a great Labor Day weekend!

I love the "sweet" shirt with her throwing a temper tantrum. Too cute!
