7:15 Scanty leftover pancake breakfast. I still haven't been to the grocery store since Monday's canceled trip. I did offer Ariel some of my real oatmeal which she turned down.
7:30 Ariel went potty and when I went to check on her she had a mouth full of toilet paper. So now I have the paper off the holder while she's here. Dude, she's 2 1/2. When's she going to stop eating paper?
9:15 Finally left the house. I don't know what was going on this morning but it was screamy and slow going.
9:30 I don't know how folks around the country celebrate May Day but here in Colorado we like to do it with a big snow storm. Nevermind that it was 80 degs yesterday, we like to keep things interesting:

So the instructor is on vacation but a few of us met at the mall and worked out without her. Well, maybe some of us worked out. I walked about 1 1/2 miles and did a few laps of stairs. It was enough to get out of the house.
10:15 Dinosaurs. Today's the first Thursday of the month with the special program at 11:00 so the dinos were pretty busy. Ariel got scratched on the face by another little girl and I don't even think Ariel was antagonizing her.
11:50 Exciting food court lunch. Because yes, even though I left the house 1/2 an hour late I still couldn't get a lunch packed. We went to Subway and I got 6" bread with cheese on it for Alex and Ariel to split. And can you believe that if you get a sandwich with JUST cheese and ask for extra cheese, they will still charge extra? Bastards. Ariel immediately ate the cheese and then had a bit of bread. Alex ate his 4" and demanded more. So I bought another 6" with just cheese for him and a strawberry julius for fruit. Yeah, I think the grocery store is not optional today. And, fyi, I did not get a Starbucks.
And on our way out of the mall we stopped at the potty and Ariel had a tragic toilet accident. She was sitting up there fine but managed to pee all over her pants and the floor. At least she missed her socks and shoes.
11:30 Adam pick up.
11:45 Got home. Ariel hadn't fallen asleep so I offered her some sauce before nap. She only had a few bites and then was ready to sleep.
Adam and I had leftover fries and veggie burger from last night. Which speaking of last night is an interesting story. Alex's school had a fund raiser dinner at Ruby's Diner. You know, one of those deals where the restaurant donates a certain percentage of the night's proceeds to the school. Well, we got there at 6:00 when it wasn't even busy and didn't get our dinner until 6:55. At which time the boys were given regular burgers instead of veggie burgers. The waitress said she would correct it and we kept waiting and then gave up waiting and just wanted the check and to get out of there. Jeremy only had 2 $20s and we did not feel that it was a $40 night so we kept waiting and waiting and waiting. And finally they brought out the veggie burger at 7:45 and told us they were comping our dinner. It was SO not worth it, it was such a miserable experience we didn't even care that it was free. And no, we won't go back, it was Red Robin type food anyway which is not something we go out of our way for. And yes, I do feel sorry for the wait staff which were working their little butts off but dude, the management screwed up royally. If you are going to invite people to your restaurant, make sure you can handle it.
2:30 The princess woke up.
2:40 Picked up Alex.
3:00 Super funtabulous trip to the grocery store. My local store just started a remodeling project that will run until November. It's amazing how a few missing aisles can make a huge difference. They should be hanging out Xanax at the door.
The kids all got donuts but Ariel only ate the sprinkles off the top.
4:15 Got home.
4:30 Pick up.
