We had a nice Sunday. Jeremy's bike race had a kid's race so we all went. Here's Adam tearing it up in the 2-3 age race. He got 3rd place. And yes, that was out of 3 kids.

Ted joined us too. He finished middle of the pack in the 6-7 year old race. I'd guess they went about 200 yards.

And Alex. Let's just say that if his group had the same amount of kids as Adam's, he would have gotten 3rd place too. Speaking of, the other day we were talking about the Bolder Boulder and Alex asked if I was going to do any bike races. I said I didn't think so and he said, "You should do one Mommy, it's easy." Ha.

And our impromptu awards ceremony.

Then we watched Jeremy's race. Here he is in the orange at the back of the peloton:

And not so much in the peloton:

And then, we went to Becky's 30th birthday dinner. Happy Birthday, Becky!

7:15 Drop off. Breakfast - bogurt and oatmeal.
7:50 Walked Alex to school.
8:45 Left for our morning adventures. First stop, the post office where we mailed Adam's birthday invites. Ariel helped by putting each card in the mailbox after I put a stamp on it.
9:20 Second stop, the coffee shop next to the dentist office. We made use of the facilities, and then Ellen took Ariel so I could go to my dentist appointment.
9:45 Super fun dentist appointment, 15 minutes late, I might add. And Becky was wondering why it seems I go to the dentist all the time. Well, about 5 years ago I had some really painful and expensive gum disease treatment. And if I go to the dentist every 3 months, my gums stay healthy. So there you go.
10:20 Done with the dentist, make a quick trip to the running store to return a pair of Keen sandals that Alex turned his nose up at.
10:45 Got home where Ellen and Ariel were waiting for us.
11:30 Picked up Adam on the bike.
11:45 Home and lunch - ravioli and cheddar bunnies and no banana.
12:00 Down for nap. Adam and I hung out outside and Adam looked for bugs and occasionally rode his bike up and down the sidewalk.
2:30 Woke up Ariel. She was not amused.
2:35 Walked to Alex's school. Ariel screamed hysterically the whole way and I don't know why. I had to tell another mom, "Yeah, she's always grumpy after her water boarding torture." Geez.
We stayed and played at Alex's school for a while. I talked to Alex's teacher for a good part of it. Today, we got a phone call that Alex was accepted to Adam's Montessori school. And now we have to decide if Alex is going to take it or not. And Alex's teacher very biased opinion was that Alex should stay where he is. I just don't know. Right now (at 5:36) I'm leaning towards staying at the current school.
4:10 Got home. Popsicles all around:

Ariel's was more for show, I think she only had a few licks and one bite.
4:30 Pick up.
