Here's some last day of school pictures:
Alex does seem happier to be leaving than going:

And little Adam:

(Yes, I made my children wear the same clothes. Luckily they didn't mind.)
And while I am blogging not about Ariel, here's our summer project... We are going to track all the birds we see in our backyard. I'm going to take pictures and the boys will draw and we'll write notes about what the birds do. Here's my first picture, the easiest since the House Finches are most common:

A hard shot to get with my 70mm, so I went out and bought myself the 70-300mm lens. Can't wait for it it get here.
7:15 Drop off.
Breakfast - ½ a pancake. Guess Ariel is still not feeling better.
The morning was not a good foreshadowing of the summer to come. I did my normal thing of getting breakfast and running laundry and cleaning up and the kids fought and screamed and freaked out.
9:15 Rachel and Lilianna came to our house so we could all go to the park together. Alex's friend Henry also came.
The park was nice. Alex and Henry tried to dig a really big hole. Actually, Alex wanted a really big hole but didn't so much want to dig it himself. Ariel ate cheddar bunnies.
11:00 Rachel and Lilianna left. But Riley and Kyler had just gotten there so we played with them some too. Ariel was happy to see Riley. At one point a huge group of daycare kids arrived so we played on the tennis courts.

11:30 Got home. Offered Ariel some mac & cheese and she flipped out so I put her down for a nap instead.
1:30 Ariel woke up.
2:00 We rode our bikes to Whole Foods to get our salmon for dinner. Ariel enjoyed pushing the kids carts but I had to keep my eye on her. She added a lot of odd things to her cart like an avocado.
3:00 The afternoon was screamy so Ariel and I went outside on the front porch to minimize kid to kid contact. Ariel spent most of the time dancing around and saying, "I have a party dress, I have a party dress. See my party dress?"
4:00 Pick up.
Jeremy update - He hasn't had much time to do anything but eat, sleep and work. And sadly, he's been afflicted with the cha-cha-chas but is taking his dysentery antibiotics and hopefully that will work.

I love the first day/last day pics. It is amazing how you can see how much they grew in height by looking at the door. That is a pretty cool idea. The finch is a great pic. Impressive photography as always.
